Milena is an acclaimed theater playwright and poet. Her world revolves around art, and her true fate is a secret love. Her relationship with Valter is a living source of passion and inspiration—but also a hidden chapter in both their lives. After Valter’s death, Milena transforms her grief into a play, bringing their forbidden love to life on stage. She returns to Slovakia, which she left at the brink of adulthood, to attend the grand premiere of her work.

Gitka, a young woman trapped in a marital crisis, obligations, and routine, is deeply moved after seeing the performance. When she unexpectedly meets Milena, she approaches her without hesitation. Though their lives and personalities are completely different, a strange bond forms between them, and their deep conversations become the catalyst for Gitka’s inner transformation. She begins to search for answers about what truly matters in life. When Milena disappears under suspicious circumstances, Gitka fears for her life and decides to investigate.
