Zodiac sign: Aquarius

– I was born in Humenne in eastern Slovakia, my zodiac is Aquarius
I spent childhood in Medzilaborce, a small town in eastern Slovakia, which is considered the Mecca of Rusyns. I am proud to be Rusyn. Rusyns, also known as Carpatho-Rusyns or Ruthenes, are a primarily diasporic ethnic group who speak an East Slavic language, known as Rusyn.
– Published my first newspaper article about missing swimming pool in my hometown.
– I worked in school magazine “Studienka”. At the time I experienced first success in literary competitions and began to dream about my own book.
– I fell in love with the sport. I decided to study at the high school with a focus on physical education. During my studies my sports´ dreams collapsed. I hurt my knee while skiing and continuing with sports would be a big risk.
– I started studies at Mass-media studies department at The University of Prešov. I have never regretted that decision. I contributed articles to newspapers. A dream of my own books returned particularly while I was working during the summer holidays in the island of Cyprus.
– After graduating from university I left from Slovakia to my beloved Cyprus. I couldn´t imagine of staying at my home country. Now I know that I was in need to “find” myself.
– Breakthrough year in my life. Finally came the right time. I started to work on the debut novel “Amnesty for betrayal”.
– Slovak Publishing company “Motýľ ” liked my manuscript and published my first book. Beginning of our long cooperation. The book was the great success reaching Top 10 of bestsellers in Slovakia.
– I started to realize my dependence on writing. Publishing company “Motýľ ” published my second novel – “Let It Rain When I Cry”. Again success -reaching position Top 3 of bestsellers.
– In Cyprus I found what I was missing in my life. I wish to write 20 hours a day. The results are the books “Kamasutra Of Our Lies” and “The Umbrella for Tamara”. It’s time to return home to Slovakia. Both succeed.
– I moved to capital of Slovakia – Bratislava, where I started to work in TV commercial postproduction department. In three days were published my two books – in my Slovak publishing house “Motýľ “ novel “Behind the Door of My Dreams” and in Czech Republic publishing company “Brána” novel “For One Night” (translation of the book “Let It Rain When I Cry”). In a few months I am coming to book market with the new book “Avalanche”. Reprint of last book just 3 weeks after.
– The joy of the success of my books is growing. I am turning it into activity. I accept invitations for meetings with readers, working, writing and I am closing year of 2015 by new novel “The Labyrinth” published by stable publishing house “Motýľ “.
– working on a new book, many meetings with readers in various parts of Slovakia, still working in postproduction department, where I practice my creativity. In November “was born” my 8th book “The Ash and the Sin”. Very satisfied with reader´s feedback and sale.
– I started to work on my new book in February. Many book events in March in libraries and schools. Happy, that my books are avalaible in Braill as well. NOW i really feel proud of myself
In August, a few days after the birth of my daughter Barborka, I am finishing the book „Alone in the Storm“. It is launched in November and immediately enters the ranking of the best-selling books of biggest bookshop in Slovakia..
– I am fully enjoying motherhood. Being the mom of a great babygirl is fascinating. Barborka is amazing. But since writing is my drug, I can’t stop. I invent the fates of the heroes of the new book on long walks with a stroller. The new book is launched at the beginning of November. It’s called „Hallway of Horror“, and, again, immediately enters the ranking of the best-selling books of biggest bookshop in Slovakia. Simply – happy.
– I am enjoying maternity leave and I am following my daughter’s progress with admiration. She is my muse, so in November I have again something new. New book, of course. My 11th book „Touching Fire“ is launched in November. There is one song with the same name and I used to listen to it, while writing. Great baptism of book on biggest book event in my country – bookfair Biblioteka.
– A disgusting and dangerous virus invaded our lives. Completely ordinary things suddenly became rare for us. I try to think positively and continue writing. I get to know the nature that surrounds us better. With my family, of course. In February, I signed a contract with the Czech publishing house Naše vojsko for the translation of the book The „Hallway of Horror“ into the Czech language. In September, I am participating in my historically first discussion with a veil on my face in Košice. I hope the last one… In November, I am launching 12th book „Prayer for the Cruel“. Already 12 books published by the same publishing house. So proud!
– Corona is still all around us  The year began promisingly. Translated the „Hallway of Horror“ into Czech is published in February. I wish it to please Czech novel lovers. I am exicted to look at my 14 books. My family is excited too. When you ask my sweet daughter what your mother’s profession is, she answers – she is writer. In summertime I am celebrating 10 years of my writing career. My publishing house “Motýľ “ celebrate with me by special limited edition of 2 novels in 1 book- Let It Rain When I Cry and The Umbrella for Tamara. I am looking forward to the new novel – The Last Chapter. It is in bookshops in early December. Year 2021 was busy :)

– A successful year for meetings with readers. I visited my primary school in Medzilaborce and libraries in three other towns – Svidník, Stropkov and Bardejov. In the summer, I worked hard on a new book – 29th of FEBRUARY, which came out in early November. I happy to look at my already 17 published books. :) I enjoyed the book fair Biblioteka 2022 v Bratislava and at the end of November I brought the book to life with an official baptism, as is my custom. The Godmother of the book was the well-known Slovak television moderator and actress Katarina Brychtova. My daughter Barborka said, that she wish to be writer as her mum.

–  A very interesting year. My family and I travelled a lot and enjoyed the snow and the sea. My daughter became a schoolgirl in September. :) I had a lot of great meetings with readers in Poprad, Bardejov and I also visited a primary school in Košice. My book 29th of FEBRUARY won 1st place in the Book of the Year PSK 2022 poll in the category Public Award. I am very happy and also excited about my new book Karma, which is coming to bookstores at the end of October. In november I attended the traditional book fair Bibliotheca in Bratislava, where I presented my new book Karma. The Godfather of the book was my favourite Slovak writer František Kozmon, whose crime fiction I absolutely love. The positive response to the book makes me satisfied and successfully ends the year 2023.

– Open to new challenges. For this year, I already have several invitations to book signings around the country that I’m really looking forward to. I also have an idea in my head for my next novel. For now, I will only reveal that the main character’s name will be Greta. (this is my daughter’s wish)
